Match Report: Ladystrikers 1:2 Hasaacas Ladies.

The defending champions began on a brighter note in week one of the Women’s Premier League beating Ladystrikers 1:2 at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast.

Veronica Appiah got us into the lead with a close finish with her head after connecting properly with Milot Pokuaa’s cross in the 34th minute.

Hasmal continued to dominate possession with several chances falling on the path of Milot who failed to score any. One-nil the first half ended.

The home team grabbed an equalizer through Suzzy Dede Teye who converted from a free-kick in the 71st minute after Milot had struck the crossbar.

Coach Yussif Basigy threw more ladies upfront with the introduction of Doris Boaduwaa who replaced comfort Owusu in search of the lead.

Veronica Appiah made two in the 79th-minute beating an offside trap to slot home the winner.

It was a chances spree for Hasaacas with the upright denying Milot Pokuaa from increasing her side’s tally. 1:2 the game ended.

Week two will see Hasaacas Ladies travel to Immigrations who lost against Berry Ladies in their season opener.
