Kamsar club were not good in the air – coach samuel Boadu declares

Hearts Of Oak’s head coach, samuel Boadu has settled on the idea that his opponent for the club’s Caf Champions league preliminary encounter at the Accra sports stadium this afternoon were not good enough in the air reason they got them beating.

The former Medeama sporting club manager, Boadu speaking after his charge’s 2-0 win over Guinean counterpart club industriel Kamsar, says they were not good enough jumping into the air so captiliased on such an opportunity to see his side emerge victors, even though he admit the game itself was a difficult one given Kamsar club were tactically discipline.

“It was a very difficult game because they were tactically discipline. At a point, especially during the reset of the second half, I realized with their defensive approach [3-1-4-2], they were not good all the more interms of jumping, so I told my guys to get them tired using high balls and high pressing reason we could penetrate their defense because initially it was a bit hectic doing so.” He said during post match analysis.

Meanwhile, he also decried that the idea of playing behind close doors affected their play.” CoachSamuel Boadu” the absence of the fans affected us a bit because most of our players had invited their families to come.Basically, should their families had being here,it would have definitely boost our standard of play interms of the game. However, with discipline and techinal support, my boys stood firm.

Apparently, the former asokwa deportivo trainee could not shy away his admiration for his gallant men, rating them 99% all for their work rate on the day citing inexperienced as his basis.

“He continued” I will rate my boys 99% because almost ninety eight percent of the squad are newbies along with the technical team,so I rate them thus far in view of their debut game across any africa competition.

The continental club masters, getting rid of Kamsar club of Guinea, means they would have to face morrocan giant wydad club Athletic in a two legged encounter still in the preliminary stage of the competition.

Having sight of emulating their own good old records of the competition where they were eventual winners of 2000 Caf Champions league as well as winners in the 2004 Caf confederation cup, the Phobians would have to see off the morrocans to get them into the group stage proper.
