Joseph Paintsil Set for LA Galaxy Return After Injury Absence

Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil played a key role in LA Galaxy’s 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer (MLS) on Sunday.

The former Tema Youth forward notched an assist for Gabriel Pec’s fourth-minute goal, which proved to be the game-winner.

Paintsil impressed throughout his 84 minutes on the pitch before being substituted for Diego Fagundez. The victory keeps LA Galaxy at the top of the MLS table with a perfect record of 12 points after six games.

Their next test comes on April 6 in the Los Angeles derby against LA FC.

Joseph Paintsil has quickly become a fan favourite in Los Angeles. Since joining the club in January from Belgian side Genk, he has amassed two goals and two assists in his six MLS appearances.
