Akwesi Appiah Likely To Be Appointed As The New Head Coach Of Asante Kotoko.

Former Black Stars head coach, James Akwesi Appiah has been tipped to become the new coach of Asante Kotoko according to reports.

Head coach Maxwell Konadu was sacked by Kotoko following several poor results and the latest defeat to Great Olympics.

Management of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to part ways with Coach Maxwell Konadu as its Head Coach with immediate effect.

Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in the interim.” The club tweeted.

Appiah played for Asante Kotoko from 1981-1994 as left-back and was appointed captain after Papa Arko.

He was a member of the Kotoko squad which lifted the 1983 African Club Championship trophy against Al Ahly.
