AFCON 2023 Host Among 14 Countries Yet To Get Approve Stadiums For AFCON 2023 Qualifiers Home Matches

With less than a month to the first games of AFCON 2023 Qualifiers, 14 countries including the host of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations are without a home ground to host their upcoming AFCON qualifiers matches.

While countries like Burkina Faso, Lesotho, Namibia, South Sudan, and Burundi have settled down in Morocco, South Africa, Egypt and Tanzania others are yet to send alternative venues to CAF ahead of the qualifiers.

Host, Ivory Coast is among the nation without a stadium for the qualifiers, Ivory Coast played their last qualifiers games in Benin Republic after the country was added to those without a stadium that meets the minimum requirements to host an international match.

The Ivorian Football Federation is looking forward to sending a request to CAF to allow the country use the new 20,000 Yamoussoukro Stadium to host their upcoming qualifiers match.
