Young Star Rocky Dwamena Ready to Embrace the New Season with the Porcupines

Rocky Dwamena, a talented youngster, has expressed his readiness to embrace the upcoming season after what he describes as an unbelievable breakthrough with the Porcupines. At just 19 years old, he quickly became a fan favorite after making his competitive debut against Hearts of Oak. While dreaming of playing for the club, the midfielder admits that he never expected his childhood dream to come true so soon.

“I have always loved the club, and sometimes I would sneak out from school to watch matches, hoping that one day I could be one of the players on the pitch. But I consider myself a lucky boy whose dream came true before I could even imagine it, and it brings me great relief,” Dwamena expressed.

Known for his trademark ferocious long-range shot, Dwamena scored an incredible goal against Tamale City while his father was in attendance. When asked about that remarkable strike, the versatile midfielder shared his perspective, saying, “The goalkeeper is someone I know; I had played with him before joining Kotoko, so I had an idea that he might be out of position. I was just waiting for an opportunity to shoot, and on that day, I was determined to score because my father was in the stands, and I wanted to make him proud. Luckily, I managed to find the back of the net. However, it was unfortunate that we couldn’t secure the victory.”

Dwamena also revealed that he received numerous calls from the club’s management members and fans. He shared, “The morning after the game, some of the management members called to congratulate me, and I even received financial support from fans who encouraged me. However, I am determined to work hard, repay the faith placed in me, and strive to win trophies with the club in the upcoming season.”
