Coach Molefi Ntseki has announced Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming 2021 AFCON qualifiers in a double header against Ghana and Sao Tome and Principe.
The four time African conquerors humbled the Bafana Bafanas 2-0 in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium in November 2019 with the South Africans seeking for revenge in the return encounter. Despite the recent rise in the novel coronavirus pandemic, Molefi Ntseki was fortunate to have gotten most of his key players available for the upcoming herculean clash against the Black Stars, a game dubbed as the top of the table clash in Group C.
Skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo will lead the team once again playing integral role in Orlando Pirate’s 2-1 victory against Nigerian champions Enyimba in the Confederations Cup last Wednesday. Experience goalie Itumeleng Khune once again has been added to the squad but will still has to serve as back up for Orlando Pirates first choice Ronwen Williams. Polster boy Percy Tau, Scottish based Bongani Zungu, consistent Dean Furman and a host of local players like Kermit Erasmus, Themba Zwani and many more all made the list. The game is scheduled for Thursday, 25th March 2021 at the famous and iconic FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
