‘Sack Milo, dissolve the entire technical team’ – Kojo Addae-Mensah

Following Ghana’s poor show at the 2021 AFCON ongoing in Cameroon, pressure has mounted on the Ghana FA to fire Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac.

The Black Stars crushed out of the ongoing competition following a 3-2 loss to minnows Comoros in the last group game.

The 4-time champions, hence recorded their worse ever AFCON outing with just a point from 3 games.

Various commentaries have pointed to the direction of the coach whose decisions affected the team’s outing.

Following calls for the coach to resign or be sacked, Chief Executive of Databank Kojo Addae-Mensah believes the calls are in order and the Serbian must be pushed off the Black Stars coaching job.

“Absolutely,” he responded when asked if Milovan must be sacked.

“Rajevac was poor and the entire technical team was poor. I’ll not single out only Rajevac. The entire technical team must face the sack,” he added.

“If a Ghanaian coach was on the bench against Morocco, making 3 substitutions on the 86th minute, hell would have broken lose in this country.

“It showed such ineptitude. It showed that the technical team were not up to scratch.

“Joseph Paintsil was, in my view, our brightest player in the game against Morocco. But shockingly he was benched against Gabon. Who does that?” he questioned.

“As for me, I think the entire technical team must be sacked,” he concluded.

Despite growing reports in the Ghanaian media that the Serbian has been sacked, the Ghana FA is yet to officially announce any decision.

With less than two months to the World Cup playoff clash with Nigeria, the Ghana FA, will have to be swift with the decision to either retain or sack Milovan to get set for the playoffs.
