Players and Goalkeepers nominated for Month of April Awards revealed

Four top players have been selected for the NASCO Premier League Player of the Month award for April. They include Abdul Razak Salifu of Dreams FC, Emmanuel Mamah of FC Samartex 1996, Kamaradini Mamudu of Medeama SC, and Nana Kwame Oppong of Heart of Lions.

Abdul Razak Salifu (Dreams FC) – scored two goals in six matches and received two NASCO player of the match awards.

Emmanuel Mamah (FC Samartex 1996) – the forward is in fine form and prolific in front of goal, scoring six goals in six league matches, including a notable brace in their 3-0 win against Basake Holy Stars at home on Matchday 29, and received one NASCO Player of the match award.

Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC) – the defender is in excellent form, scoring three goals in five league matches, including a double against Young Apostles at home on Matchday 29, and received one NASCO Player of the match award.

Nana Kwame Oppong (Heart of Lions) – scored three goals in five matches, hitting a brace to help his side cruise past Accra Lions in a 3-1 win at home on Matchday 28, and received one NASCO Player of the match award.

The Ex-National Goalkeepers Union has chosen its nominees for the Premier League’s outstanding Goalkeeper of the Month for April. The four goalkeepers contesting for the award include Emmanuel Kobi of Gold Stars FC, Daniel Afful of Accra Lions, Rabin Ousmane Sanon of Nations FC, and Shaibu Rafique Issah of FC Samartex 1996.

Emmanuel Kobi (Gold Star FC) – won four and lost two, kept three successive clean sheets, and conceded four goals in six league matches during the month.

Daniel Afful (Accra Lions) – won three and suffered two defeats, kept two clean sheets (the least among the nominees), and conceded the most goals (six) in five league matches.

Rabin Ousmane Sanon (Nations FC) – the Burkinabe goalkeeper is selected for the first time for the Best Goalkeeper of the Month award after helping his side secure the top spot in the league table at the end of the month. He won four, lost one, conceded the least goals (one), and earned four consecutive clean sheets (the highest) in five league matches.

Shaibu Rafique Issah (FC Samartex 1996) – the youngster secured back-to-back nominations following his impressive performance, helping FC Samartex reach seventh position in the table. He won three, drew one, suffered one defeat, kept three clean sheets, and conceded four goals in five league matches.

The winner will receive a 43-inch NASCO Television from Electroland Ghana Limited.
