On Friday, September 3, 2021, the Nkoranza Municipal Assembly Conference Hall bloomed with recognition for hard work, exceptionality and success in football.
The colourful show themed ‘Football: An Inspiration of Unity and Hope Towards National Development’ was massively attended by all that matter in the municipality from traditional, political, the clergy to the security professions cum special attendance by the renowned and the ordinary outside the municipality particularly from the family of football.
About 36 awards(plaques, citations, certificates) were specially and Honourably prized to respective people under different categories. Over 100 personalities and clubs were nominated by The Nkoranza Municipal Football Association, who conceived and initiated the awards. It was in partnership with Cedar Events Ghana, a renowned event entity based in Accra.
Indigenes, Messieurs Francis Oti Akenten the immediate past Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Maxwell Konadu, Black Starlets Head Coach and Ben Forkuo, Black Princesses Head Coach were honoured. Others include Isaac Amoako, Daniel Ntim, Prince Adu Poku amongst others. Samuel Appiah Kubi formerly of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and now with Tano Bofoakwa was adjudged Most Valuable Player Of The Year with the female version of same for Millot Abena Pokuaa- Hasaacas Ladies.

About Nkoranza.
The indigenous descendants of the Bono people first settled at Amoowi near Pinihini, later migrated to Bono Manso. All these historic towns in the history of the Bonos are in the Nkoranza Traditional Area which is Amoowi and Bono Manso.
The largest paramountcy in Bono East, Nkoranza Traditional Area happens to boast of four (4) administrative assemblies including Nkoranza South (Nkoranza), Nkoranza North (Busunya), Kintampo South (Jema) and Kintampo North (Kintampo).
Nkoranza paramountcy has the largest land size in the Bono East Region with a total land size of 10,140 square kilometres which is almost half of the entire Bono East Region land size.
The total population of the Nkoranza Traditional Area is 243,404 with a population density on average of 41.7%.
In tourism, Nkoranza Traditional Area has the following Renowned tourist. The Kintampo Waterfalls, Dandwa Waterfalls and Fiema-Buabeng Monkey Sanctuary. There are many other undeveloped tourist sites. These sites include Bono Manso Waterfalls, Bodom Tortoise Stone, Yefri Waterfalls, Amoowi Cave, Salamkrom-Kyekyewere Cave, Senya Goitre Healing River, Dromankese Natural Ladder, etc.
In terms of Mineral and Natural, Resources Nkoranza has a number of natural resources which serves as a good potential for development. Some are being exploited while others remain unexploited. These natural resources include vast land, water bodies, clay, timber, crude oil and gold deposits at Donkro Nkwanta and Ayimah. There are available land for agricultural production and other investments.
The city is highly endowed with numerous infrastructural avenues such as the Nkoranza Technical Institute, which is the only Government Traditional Technical Institution in Brong East Region, the Anglican University College, the only Special School in Brong East Region thus Shalom Special including Senior High Schools and Basic Schools.
