England-born forward of Ghanaian descent, Michelle Agyemang has expressed her joy after signing her first professional contract with Arsenal Women.
“Arsenal Football Club is like family to me,” Agyemang said, “so signing a professional contract here is just incredible, it really is what dreams are made of.”
The 18-year-old joined the Arsenal academy at the tender age of six in 2012. Her dedication paid off as she made a senior debut at just 16 during a Women’s Super League match against Leicester City in November 2022. Agyemang has already notched five appearances for the senior team, showcasing her potential.
With the new contract secured, Agyemang looks ahead with excitement. “I’m really grateful for the opportunity and I can’t wait to continue playing for the Arsenal,” she declared.
Arsenal will face Manchester United in the Women’s Super League on May 5. Michelle Agyemang will be hoping to contribute to her team’s success as they navigate the remainder of the season.
