Medeama SC picks up their first trophy of the year.

After defeating Dreams FC to win the Super Cup, Medeama SC, the reigning Ghana Premier League winners, picked up their first trophy of the year.

Dreams FC, the MTN FA Cup winners and self-proclaimed “champions of champions,” missed out on winning their first trophy of the year at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The people of Tarkwa and Medeam SC fans are very happy after their team won their first trophy ahead of the new season.

Black Stars’ rookie Jonathan Sowah gave Medeama the lead in the first half with two goals, and that was enough for them to win the match.

Two Super Cup championships have now been won by Medeama, with the first coming in 2015.

Jonathan Sowah will now join his Black Stars teammates in preparation of Ghana’s AFCON Qualifier tie with Central African Republic on Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
