Ghana clinched a slim 1-0 win over Angola in Group E of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, thanks to a late goal from Antoine Semenyo.

Both teams created goal-scoring opportunities, but neither managed to find the back of the net, with the visitors performing well and having more possession.

Back from recess, Ghana threatened more and brought on substitutes Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Salis Samed, and Joseph Paintsil in the 68th minute.

Semenyo’s hit the winner with a powerful strike from close range. The return encounter comes off on March 27th.
