Legendary broadcast journalist wins Shama District football association elections

Popular Western Region based sports journalist Kuntu Blankson on Thursday 13th February 2020  won the elections to become the District FA Chairman for Shama District. In a keenly contested elections Kuntu Blankson, amassed 8  votes whiles his competitor Osman Banda amassed 4 of the total votes cast which was enough to guarantee him a first round win in the polls.

The former STMA District football Chairman’s campaign message on the promise of ‘Hard work,transparency and accountability was enough to guarantee him the position.

After the polls Mr. Blankson thanked the delegates and promised to deliver on all his campaign promise.

“I will like to thank all the delegates for having the confidence in me by voting for me to become the Shama district football association chairman. I promise to keep my to do what i said during my campaign and not to let you down.” Kuntu Blankson said this after his victory.

The ace sports presenter also added by saying “The Shama district has produced quite a number of great players with some playing in the Ghana premier league and he is going to work hard together with the district and the regional football association to produce more great players as his district is full of budding talents.”
