‘I Don’t Know The Type Of Grass We Have In Ghana’ – Tony Baffoe Talks About Poor Pitches

Former Black Stars Defender Tony Baffoe has underscored the need to work on stadium pitches in the country.

Ghana struggled with getting a standard stadium with quality pitches prior to the World Cup qualifier playoff between Ghana and Nigeria.

Which made the game switch from the Cape Coast Stadium to Baba Yara Stadium which had to be worked on massively before CAF inspection team approved the use of the stadium.

Speaking on Saving Our Passion On GTV Sports Plus, the ex Ghanaian international said:

“ We really have to work on our pitches, there are types of grasses but to be honest I don’t know the type we have in Ghana,” he added.

Tony Baffoe showed praises on Otto Addo and his team for securing qualification for the World Cup.

“I want to congratulate Otto Addo, technical team, Captain Partey, President Okraku, and his entire team for believing in the Black Stars.”

The Blackstars will know their World Cup group opponents on Friday when the draw is held Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
