Black Stars left back, Gideon Mensah, has described qualifying for the World Cup as one of the highest points of his career.
The RB Salzburg defender who is currently on loan at Girondins de Bordeaux, started both games against Nigeria as Ghana qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports, Mensah said:
“This is one of the best moments of my career, but I believe the World Cup will surpass it”
He also described how it felt to meet president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in the wake of the qualification.
“It was my first time meeting the president, but we went there victorious as people who went to battle and won. It was a great feeling and we went there with a joyful heart”
