High flying Black Starlets off to winning start against Saudi Arabia

The Ghana men U-17 national team continued with their fine form after recording their fourth consecutive win over Saudi Arabia in an international friendly in Riyadh earlier today.

The Black Starlets engaged the young Green Falcons in a five-goal thriller after edging them by 3-2 in the first game with the return encounter slated in four days time.
Benjamin Tsivanyo, Hammed Fiifi Peter and a 61st minute penalty converted by Debrah Bossman fired the two time world champions into another sweet win to preserve their recent invincibility.

These two friendlies against the Asian country form part of the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed by the two football governing bodies (GFA and SAFF) in December last year.

The agreement aims to develop strong relations between the two Federations to help the promotion, growth and success of football at all levels.

Karim Zito’s lads first took part in a UEFA development tournament in Serbia where they defeated host Serbia, Switzerland and Spain in a four nation tourney to finish as winners.

The second game is scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2023.
