Great Olympics want 8 players to strengthen squad

Accra Great Olympics are hoping to strengthen their squad by bringing in 8 additional players.

Great Olympics coach revealed in a post-match interview that his current squad lacks depth. He further explained that the modern football requires players with a certain set of skills to thrive which his team currently lacks. Coach Annor has therefore set his sight on at least 8 players to help make his team more competitive in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Great Olympics put their woeful performance against Hearts Of Oak behind them by claiming a 2-1 victory over Liberty Professionals in match week 15 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“I need central defenders and midfielders to strengthen the team. Modern football is played with offensive midfielders and I don’t have a lot of them,” coach Walker said after his post-match interview.

“At a point I had to bring on a striker to help the midfielders because I did not have enough midfielders.

“I also need sharp strikers, that is typical goal scorers. In all I am looking at signing 8 players in the transfer window.”

Accra Great Olympics are currently in the 12th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 17 points after after match day 15.
