GPL Match report: Yaw Annor brace gives new Miners boss winning start

New Ashantigold Coach Henry Hauesler got off to a winning start as the Miners defeated Dreams FC by 2-1.

The Miners went into the game on the back of two consecutive wins and were looking to make it three in a row against a side that hasn’t got the best of records on their travels.

Ashgold got off to a perfect start as forward Yaw Annor converted a brilliant goal-scoring opportunity to give the home side the lead.

The Believers tried all they could to get level before the break but the home side held onto their advantage at the break.

Annor grabbed his second of the day from the spot after Ashgold were awarded a penalty in the closing stages of the game.

Dreams FC managed to find a late consolation goal through Maxwell Arthur who expertly converted a free-kick.

The result means Ashgold extend their winning streak to three games whilst Dreams FC remain winless in their last seven travels.
