Ex-Hearts of Oak chairman Harry Zakkour has jumped into the defense of Black Stars coach CK Akonnor and has called for patients from Ghanaians as he believes he is the right man for the job.
One of Akonnor’s targets as Black Stars coach is to win the Africa Cup Of Nations trophy in Cameroon which Harry Zakkour believes the failure to do so must not guarantee his exit.
“You know he has coached Hearts of Oak before, he has coached Goldfields before, and he has coached Kotoko before.
“You see, we don’t have patience. When a coach loses one or two, three the matches in this country they want to fire him.
“We should give him time. Football is not like before”, the experienced football administrator said in an interview on GTV Sports Plus.
Akonnor was appointed as head coach of the Black in January after serving as an assistant to former boss Akwesi Appiah.
