Ghanaian youngster and former Dwarfs player Benjamin Acquah signs permanent contract with Swedish side Helsingborg IF

Ghanaian youngster Benjamin Acquah has completed a permanent move to Helsingborg IF.

The 20-year-old midfielder earned himself a long-term contract with the newly-promoted Swedish Allsvenskan side after excelling on loan.

Helsingborg have exercised the option in the loan agreement to hand a four-year contract to the young midfielder.

Acquah joined Helsingborg on a season-long loan from Ghanaian side Ebusua Dwarfs and went ahead to make 20 appearances in the Swedish Superettan.

Helsingborg gained promotion to the Swedish top-flight on Tuesday after beating Halmstad BK in the promotion play-offs.

The highly-rated midfielder played 19 matches in the Swedish second-tier and one game during the play-offs and scored once in the process.
