Ghanaian defend Ebenezer Annan has expressed his elation after joining Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade. The 21-year-old signed a three-year contract with the reigning champions, bolstering their defensive options.

Annan is no stranger to Serbian football. He spent last season on loan at Novi Pazar from Italian club Bologna, impressing with 32 appearances and 2 assists across all competitions. His performances caught the eye of Red Star manager Vladan Milojević, leading to the transfer.

“I am very excited and happy to have signed with Red Star,”Ebenezer Annan said. “I’m glad my good games were noticed, and I’m familiar with the Superliga. It’s a high-quality league, and I’m looking forward to continuing playing in Serbia.”

Annan, who boasts speed, technique, and intelligence with the ball at his feet, is eager to improve and contribute to the team’s success. He could make his debut for Red Star on June 28th in a friendly against Mladost Lučani.

The Ghanaian international, who earned his first two caps for the Black Stars in March friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda, will be hoping to establish himself at Red Star and potentially earn a place in Ghana’s squad for upcoming international tournaments.
