Four shot stoppers and three players nominated for September Goalkeeper of the Month

Zaidan Mohammed of Karela United, Heart of Lions’ Etse Dogli and Young Apostles’ Richmond Opoku will vie for the NASCO player of the month award for September, following their impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Karela United’s Zaidan Mohammed was a constant threat in midfield, contributing directly to his team’s attack with one goal and an assist. His creativity and consistency earned him two NASCO Player of the Match awards in September.

Heart of Lions’ Etse Dogli played a pivotal role, registering one assist and claiming a NASCO Player of the Match award, showcasing his ability to control games and make a decisive impact.

Young Apostles’ Richmond Opoku has been in sensational form, leading the league’s top scorers chart with three goals in September and capping his outstanding displays with a NASCO Player of the Match award.

The winner will receive a 43-inch NASCO digital satellite television and a NASCO double-door fridge with a bottom freezer.

Four goalkeepers have been shortlisted for the Goalkeeper of the Month award for September 2025, following impressive performances. The nominees, selected by the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, are Abdul Ganiu Mohammed of Karela United, Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, Lawrence Osei of Heart of Lions, and Kwame Aziz of Vision FC.

Abdul Ganiu Mohammed had a solid month, keeping two clean sheets and conceding just one goal in three matches, with his side remaining unbeaten

 

Benjamin Asare stood tall for Hearts of Oak, recording three consecutive clean sheets—two at home and one away—as his team secured two wins and a draw.

Lawrence Osei was impressive, producing two clean sheets while conceding only one goal, contributing to Heart of Lions’ perfect record for the month.

Kwame Aziz also earned recognition after keeping two clean sheets in September. Despite conceding four goals across three matches, he played a crucial role in his team’s one win, one draw, and one defeat.

The winner will receive a prize package from the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, including a pair of gloves, a branded towel, water bottles, and a T-shirt.
