FIFA World Cup: France edge past Morocco to book a place in the World Cup Final

2018 World Champions France have booked a place in the Final of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup against Argentina which is to take place at the Lusail Stadium this Sunday.

A wonderful start saw Les Blues take the lead after Antoine Griezmann’s shot was deflected onto the path of Theo Hernandez and the Milan man slotted it past Bounou effortlessly to give France the lead after four minutes.

Morocco remained patient and kept controlling the pace of the game as France maintained their structure and soaked the pressure until the break.

The second half saw the Atlas Lions continuously knock of the door of French defense yet the 2018 winners remained resilient in defense and midfield and held firmly onto their lead with crucial saves from Skipper Hugo Lloris to keep them in front.

France remained patient and eventually Kylian Mbappe made an incredible run to eventually find Kolo Muani who subbed on in the second half for Ousmane Dembele, found France’s second cruising them onto the Grand Finale.

Morocco take on Croatia in the third place tie on Saturday as they look to make their World Cup campaign a memorable one.
