The WSL transfer window closed for business on Thursday 27 January 2022, with several clubs doing business right until the final hours in order to to strengthen for the second half of the season.
New signings at this stage of the campaign could provide extra depth in the title race, be the difference between mid-table and a surge into Champions League contention, or help a club avoid relegation and dropping into the Women’s Championship.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Aston Villa were the busiest clubs this month, but 11 of the 12 sides in the league had at least one incoming or outgoing.
