Dede Ayew Wants Otto Addo To Remain As Blackstars Headcoach

Blackstars captain Dede Ayew wants Otto Addo to be maintained as Blackstars Headcoach to bring ‘stability’.

Otto Addo led the Blackstars to 2022 World Cup qualification after edging out Nigeria following a 1-1 draw in Abuja a week ago.

Ghana made it to their fourth World Cup after representing in 2006, 2010 and 2014.

Dede Ayew missed both legs in Ghana and Abuja due to suspension but was with the team in the first leg to give morale.

Otto Addo was appointed together with Did Dramani, Chris Hughton, and George Boateng to lead the team for qualification and delivered well but their contracts have been ended and the Ghana FA must reopen renegotiations with them.

‘He did a very wonderful job. I had been with the team for three or four days before the game. I congratulate him so much.

‘He changed a lot of little things on the pitch trying to find the solutions and it worked and we need to keep working”

‘It has been a difficult time for us with the changes of coaches and hopefully we could get some stability and work towards the goal with some style”.

The four-time African champions were handed a tricky task to play Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H of the global showpiece event.
