Check out the 9 Ghanaian players to participate in the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League

The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League draw will take place in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 5pm.

The draw is expected to feature 32 teams, that is the 26 automatic qualified teams and other six teams that progressed from the play-off round.

Nine Ghanaian players will be participating in the competition with their respective teams.

Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Brian Brobbey, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ansgar Knauff, Jeremie Frimpong, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Kamal Sowah and Dennis Odoi are the nine Ghanaian players who will be playing in the Champions League.

The aforementioned players will be playing for Ajax, Sporting CP, Chelsea, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Club Brugge.

Mohammed Kudus and Brian Brobbey will feature the European top-flight competition with Dutch giants Ajax while Jeremie Frimpong, Timothy Fosu-Mensah are expected to play for Leverkusen.

Hudson-Odoi, who has become a subject of interest for several clubs this window will play for Chelsea if he remains at the club.

German-Ghanaian Ansgar Knauff will play for Frankfurt in the Champions League after helping the side to lift the Europa League last season.

Black Stars defender Dennis Odoi and Kamal Sowah will have a feel of the Champions League with Club Brugge.
