Bayern ‘put Mane AND Sane up for transfer, along with Gnabry’

Bayern Munich could lose three of their attackers during the summer transfer window, with the Bundesliga champions set to entertain offers for Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, and Sadio Mane, according to reports.

Despite lifting the Bundesliga trophy for the 11th consecutive season on Saturday, the Bavarian giants have had a torrid 2022-23 campaign, and are preparing for a root-and-branch overhaul.

Former head coach Julian Nagelsmann was sacked in March after dividing the dressing room and underperforming against the club’s ultra-high standards, but the appointment of Thomas Tuchel failed to save their German Cup or Champions League campaigns.

The champions came within an inch of losing the league for the first time since 2012 with title contenders two points clear at the top of the table on the final day of the season, triumphing with a helping hand from their opponents’ result.

As per German outlet Bild, Bayern are prepared to reshape their attacking line-up significantly after the disappointing campaign, with none of the three players assured of their place in the squad next season.

A move for Sadio Mane would come just a year after his arrival in Bavaria from Liverpool, but his debut season in the Bundesliga was an abortive one.

Scoring seven times in his 25 league appearances, the left winger often found himself relegated to the bench by both Nagelsmann and Tuchel, and struggled with injury at the start of the year.

But his hopes of a season to redeem himself were further complicated by his violent fracas with Sane after the first leg of their Champions League tie against Manchester City.

Mane took a swing at his team-mate that cut his lower lip, leaving the player bloodied, and the clash saw the Senegal international suspended from the squad and heavily fined.

The player had previously clashed with Nagelsmann over playing time, confronting the ex-manager in front of his stunned team-mates.

Sane has had an equally patchy campaign, as has Gnabry – although, the former Arsenal youth prospect has found form in the latter stages of Bayern’s campaign after starting the season largely from the bench.

Simultaneously, the club is preparing for a busy summer of incomings, with Tuchel placing primary focus on securing the services of West Ham captain Declan Rice.
