Asante Kotoko Won’t Sign New Players For One Year

Life Patron Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has ordered Asante Kotoko to not sign a new player for their first team in a bid to build it’s youth side for one year.

The directive was given to the newly formed board of directors headed by Dr. Kwame Kyei

At the Inaugural ceremony of the new Board, Chief of Staff of the Manhyia Palace Kofi Badu told the board to go strickly by the directives of the owner which is geared towards making the club a self financing amd self sustaining

“Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has directed that Asante Kotoko should not sign any new player for the first team for a period of one year. The club has enough players to serve them for the period in question.” Kofi Badu Chief of Staff, Manhyia Palace told media men.

The Otumfoɔ Osei Tutu II in naming the new Board charged them to ensure the club builds its Academy, and to ensure the first team is fed from players in the Academy.
