Asante Kotoko in trouble. Check out why

Asante Kotoko are faced with a real conundrum after the Manhyia Palace refused to approve Dr.Kwame Kyei’s nominees to serve on the club’s board.

The Kumasi based club have failed to adhere to the demands of the Ghana FA after they were unable to establish a board of directors which is a requirement of the Club Licensing System.

The Porcupine Warriors were given a 3 April, 2020 deadline to form a board of directors by the Ghana FA Club Licensing Board.

Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr. Kwame Kyei in reaction to the instructions given by the FA, nominated a number of individuals such as Nana Gyembibi Coker,George Amoako,Nana Boakye and Ankobeahene to serve as board of directors for the club.

According to report by Kumasi based radio station Fox 97.9 FM,the Chief of Staff of the Manhyia Palace has rejected the names presented by the Executive Chairman.

This certainly means that Kotoko have failed to meet the deadline and are now in big trouble of being charged with a substantial fine which seems to have become a recent norm for the club or even worse have their license withdrawn.
