Andrews Appau rescues Kotoko from shock defeat to Olympics

Kumasi Asante Kotoko were held to a one all draw with Accra Great Olympics at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The game begun with Kotoko trying to find the opener with Zeze and Mukwala threatening the Olympics defense yet failing to find the back of the net.

However, Olympics almost broke the deadlock after kotoko’s Owusu defensive laspe after 38 minutes.

The second half saw a quick twist right after the restart with Olympics taking the lead through Abdul Bashiru after he kept his composure and fired from the edge of the box to put the visitors ahead.

Kotoko looked to find the equalizer through set pieces yet failed to take advantage of them with 10 minutes to go.

The final minute of the game saw Kotoko handed a Free kick and Andrews Kwadjo Appau in the 99th minute managed to slot in beautifully to restore parity for the hosts.

Kotoko shared the Spoils with Olympics despite the resilience of the visitors towards the latter parts of the game.
