Andre Ayew could miss Ghana-Gabon clash due to head injury

 

Captain of the Black Stars, Andre Ayew could miss his side’s clash against Gabon on Friday after he suffered a head injury in the game against Morocco.

The Stars did not begin their hunt for a 5th trophy on a good note as they lost 1-0 to group opponents Morocco on Monday.

Andre Ayew who suffered a head injury in the game has not  participated in training since Tuesday and puts his availability for the second game in doubt.

FC St.Pauli midfielder, Daniel Kofi-Kyereh could be set for his first start at the ongoing TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations, in place of the injured Ayew.

The midfielder made his AFCON debut in the Black Stars’ opening day loss to Cameroon after he came off the bench to replace Kamaldeen Sulemana with just five more minutes to go.

Milovan Rajevac’s side play Gabon who defeated Comoros in their group opener on Friday night with the hope of getting all 3 points.
