AFCON 2021- MUKANSANGA Salima Rhadia Set To Become First Ever Female Refree To Officiate At AFCON Tourney

Pending the 2021 AFCON tournament which commence on sunday january 9th, 2022 with Cameroon be the host nation, an experienced Rwandan female referee Mukansaga Salima Rhadia is set to become the first ever female center referee to officiate at Afcon in the history of the competition.

Effort worth rewarding, Salima has been selected among referees who will officiate in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Mukansaga, as rife in the media, was appointed in 2018 for matches in the 1st Rwandan men’s division and for that matter has be to a couple of international matches.

Adding to her cabinets, the record maker has been to the Olympics games, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Africa Women’s cup of nations [AWCON], CAF Women’s Champions league and a host of other FIFA recognize tourneys.

For a sixth AFCON trophy, Cameroon will have it together with Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape Verde in group A.
