Besiktas Defender Daniel Amartey Throws Support Behind 2023 Cheetah Cup

Besiktas’ defender, Daniel Amartey, has thrown his weight behind the upcoming 2023 Cheetah Cup, showcasing his support by donating essential items and funds. As part of his contribution, Amartey generously provided 10 bags of rice, two large gallons of oil, and an undisclosed sum in Ghana cedis. The Cheetah Cup is set to commence on August 14, 2023, at Senya.

Abdul Hayye Yartey, the brain behind the Cheetah Cup, expressed his gratitude for Amartey’s thoughtful gesture. Yartey praised the former Leicester City and Blackstars defender for his involvement in backing the tournament, emphasizing the significance of footballers and ex-footballers giving back to both the sporting realm and society.

Mr. Yartey shared his delight, stating, “Witnessing footballers and ex-footballers contribute to the sport and society is always heartening. I am truly thrilled by Daniel Amartey’s actions.”

A pivotal member of the Blackstars, Amartey’s recent move from England to Turkey during the summer transfer window has not deterred his dedication to the game. He played a key role in Besiktas’ advancement to the subsequent stage of this year’s Europa Conference League, contributing with both assists and goals on the pitch.
