Dreams FC were at their best as they put five past Legon Cities on match week 29 of the 2022/2023 Betpawa premier league at Dawu Theater of Dreams.

The home team took the lead in just six minutes from the referee’s whistle, kind courtesy Gael Aholou who scored from a rebound.

Twenty minutes later, youngster Ishmael Dede calmly tapped a cross into the net to make it two for the host.

Samuel Armah netted just on the stroke of half time to reduce the deficit for Legon Cities who at some point looked desperate for a comeback to preserve their recent winning streak.

In the second half, Huzaif Ali returned on a blistering and made his way into the box but was brought down for a penalty. He stepped up and scored to restore their two-goal lead.

On the 66th minute,  Ibrahim Abdulai once again scored to increase their tally to four and were running riots over their opponents.

The Royals looked completely off in the game as they struggle to even keep hold of the ball for ten second.

Godfred Atuahene came off the bench to tap in from Huzaif Ali’s cross on the 90th minute to seal the win. It finished 5-1 for Dreams FC to return on winning ways.

They have now climbed up to the 12th position on the standing with 37 points.
