Manchester United reignite talks with Psv for Cody Gakpo

Manchester United have resumed talks with Psv for the signing of Dutch midfielder Cody Gakpo ahead of club football which resumes after the World Cup.

Gakpo remains under contract with his current club until June 2026, yet according to Psv, if the right price is met by the Red Devils, the Psv forward will be allowed to leave the club mid season.

However, Brazilian star Antony was signed ahead of Gakpo in the Summer of 2022 for United despite Gakpo being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the recent transfer window after continuous talks with Ten Hag over a possible move to England.

The Netherlands midfielder registered three goals at the Mondial and was their star of the tournament despite Holland being eliminated by Argentina on Penalties.

For Man United, the signing of Gakpo remains crucial to their targets for the rest of the season as the look to return to the Champions League and win silverware after five years.
