Karela United extend unbeaten run after draw with Legon Cities

Karela United have now gone six games unbeaten, following their 1-1 draw with Legon Cities at the CAM Park in week 16 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The Ayinase boys had won three and drawn two of their last five games prior to yesterday’s encounter, and have now extended the run.

Legon Cities temporarily threatened the unbeaten run after netting the opening goal in the fixture.

They broke the game’s deadlock in the 42nd minute after Jonah Attuquaye scored from a penalty rebound.

The hosts will however level it just a minute later through Owusu Boakye Emmanuel as the game went into the break at 1-1.

No goals were recorded in the second half, with the game ending in 1-1.

Karela United maintain their position in 8th place while Legon Cities have now slipped 15th on the league table.
