It’s not deserved”  -Toni Kroos on Lionel Messi’s Ballon d’Or win

Real Madrid midfield talisman Toni Kroos has criticized the decision to hand Lionel Messi this year’s Ballon d’Or, with the German claiming ‘it’s not deserved’.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward was given the prestigious Ballon D’Or award for his impressive season winning the Copa American with Argentina and Copa d Ray with his former club Barcelona.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho placed 2 and 3 as Messi wins his seventh Ballon d’Or of his incredible career.

Speaking on his podcast, Kroos said: ‘It’s not deserved.

‘There is no doubt that Messi, with Cristiano, has been the player of the last decade, but this year there should’ve been others ahead of him.’

According to Tony Kross, the top three rankings were Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema, Lewandowski, and Jorginho but not Messi to win it.
