2022 World Cup: I am ready to scout for Ghana – Ex-Black Stars assistant coach

Former Black Stars assistant coach, Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his readiness to scout for the country ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The four times African champions secured qualification at the expense of Nigeria in a two legged games.

The Black Stars after the qualification have been paired with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.

With Ibrahim Tanko expected to lead the technical team to the Mundial, Tanko who was the assistant coach during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Egypt says he is ready to assist the technical team

According to him, he cannot turn his back on Ghana and has avail himself.

“It’s difficult to say no to Ghana, so I am always available. I mostly speak to the technical team led by Otto Addo and anyone knows I played with him at Dortmund,” the Accra Lions technical director told Bryt FM.

“I also started my coaching career with him, so Otto is a good friend and we always get in touch.

“We have to pray for the team but it will be prudent for us to lower our expectations so players won’t be pressured,” he added.
