“Yahaya is a prolific striker” – W.O Tandor

Aduana Stars assistant Coach W.O Tandor has described Ghana premier league 2nd top scorer Yahaya Mohammed as a prolific striker.

According to W.O Tandor he was not surprised that Black Stars head coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor named Yahaya Mohammed in his squad for the 2021 AFCON qualifier double-header clash with Sudan since the player is a prolific striker.

In an interview, Coach Tandor stretched that Yahaya is a typical striker, who’s foot and head works well and is likely to score when he gets the opportunity.

He further said that the forward is a box to box striker who thinks even before he receives a pass and with good supplies from the midfielders the best in him will be shown and so he joining the Black Stars attack with the caliber of midfielders the team possess, everyone will be surprised about what he can do.

In Relation to this, he advised the local based players who have earned a call up into the Black Stars team to not just go and add up to numbers but to work hard and earn a spot in the starting line-up so that in the next call ups there will be more local based players than the foreign based players.
