What Are The Targets For Africa, Kotoko and Hearts? CHECK OUT!

It is about time we accept where we are as a football nation and build up. We shouldn’t build castles in the air by setting unrealistic targets, knowing very well it will end in disappointment. Black Stars go into every competition to win, no matter what happens before and after it. Similarly, our clubs put unbearable pressure on themselves to conquer Africa with our subpar performances.

For once, let us see something different. Let us lower our expectations and develop targets within our strength in both the CAF Champions league and the CAF Confederation. It feels right to have high hopes, but if we learnt anything from recent times, it’s that we are below where we even placed ourselves.

Asante Kotoko must give any Coach who comes on board and his men the room to do what they can. The pressures usually result in their bad home forms. In front of the fans, the players easily lose their cool. They start making mistakes which eventually cost the team. It is obvious the team already knows what’s at stake; they don’t need reminders.

Hearts of Oak should aim to do better than last year’s campaign in Africa. The team played so well at home, but they were paralyzed anytime away. The reasons can be the traveling arrangements and the technical setup. However, enormous pressure can do more harm than good. The fans should understand the level football now is.

Honestly, the two giants going to Africa is great for Ghana football. The rivalry pushes each other to work harder. Kotoko fans can’t stand the trolls from their Hearts friends and vice versa. We can only hope they perform in Africa, but whatever happens is another lesson to build upon.
