We were slow on the pitch- Coach Ogum speaks on painful defeat to Legon Cities

Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Prosper Nartey Ogum has revealed what led to their shocking 3:1 defeat to Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking to the media after the game, the former WAFA gaffer revealed that their slowness on the pitch and the decision to allow the opponents to have more space and enough time on the ball contributed to their heavy defeat.

“I can’t really tell, they were slow on the pitch, unusual movement and all that but it’s game over so we just have to go back and do the right things for the next game. I think it is just one of the bad days at the office, we allowed them space and time on the ball. If you look at the second and third goals they looked similar”, he told Startimes crew.

A brace from Hans Kwoffie and a Micheal Otu’s spotkick ensured Maxwell Konadu recorded a crucial victory over the porcupine warriors.
Mudasiru Salifu scored the consolation goal for the league leaders.

The Porcupine warriors are still at the top of the league log with 52points after 26 league appearances.
