Truncating The 2019/20 League Season Must Be Decided By Congress- Ex GFA VEEP George Afriyie.

Former Ghana Football Association vice president, George Afriyie has suggested that the power to cancel or call the 2019/20 Ghana League season thanks and void must be given to Congress members.

Already, following consultations from major stakeholders and health workers from the government, the Football Association has decided to take a firm stand on the season’s future on June 30.

George Afriyie in an exclusive interview with Accra based Happy FM said:

“The matter to truncate the 2019/20 football season is a matter for Congress.”

“The Covid-19 has offered us a good opportunity to make things better. Prior to the elections there were a lot of things that went wrong under the Normalisation Committee in the new statues which have to be corrected”.

The league season remains suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic as the nation continues to combat the deadly disease.
