Total support – Manhyia declines Dr Kwame Kyei’s Resignation letter

Otumfou Osei Tutu Ababio II, leader of Manhyia traditional council and Patron for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, report suggest has declined the resignation request by Executive board chairman Dr Kwame Kyei.

Dr.Kyei, owner for unity group of companies, for the wee hours of wednesday the 13th of october 2021, report says had sent a resignation letter to the Manhyia traditional council.

However, per same report, the sole decider and owner of the Asante club, His Royal Majesty Otumfou Osei Tutu II rejected Dr’s plea.

Recall couple of weeks ago, was other board members of the club who voted vote of no confidence regarding the existence of the Executive board chairman that Kwame Kyei feels has fallen out with the board members and would want to keep his sanity.

His Royal Highness, after meeting with Dr Kyei and the Board members, ordered them to go look indepthly the activities, together with contracts and partnerships brought to the club by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Eventually, the chief of staff of Manhyia, Mr Kofi Badu together with the board of directors are said to meet the CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah which they intend to explain issues to the CEO.

Thou notwithstanding, one of the sons of Dr Kyei, recently has bought a division one club “Bekwai Youth Football Academy” hailing from Bekwai in the Ashanti region as they await the new season.
