Title-chasing Kotoko Coach sends strong warning to Players

Asante Kotoko Lead Coach Prosper Narteh-Ogum has thrown caution to his side insisting the Ghana Premier League title is far from decided, despite establishing a healthy gap atop the standings.

The Porcupine Warriors have accumulated 33 points from their first 14 games played, leaving many connoisseurs of the game to rule in their favor as soon-to-be crowned champions.

However, the former WAFA Coach believes there is much more to play for and wants his team to eschew any form of complacency. Coach Narteh-Ogum is preaching more focus and hard work until they actually realize their dream of being crowned champions.

In a post match interview after a win over Great Olympics last Friday, the Coach said “No we are not there yet. This is Match Day 15, so 19 more matches to go. So the points that are left to be fought for, are more than the one we have accumulated. So we are not there yet.

“No room for complacency, We need to stay focused. We need to keep doing what We are doing right. We have to make sure we are not complacent. We don’t have to be over-confident anyway, anywhere along the line,” he added.

“We have to stay focused and keep working hard and make sure the right things are done,” Coach Narteh-Ogum concluded.

Asante Kotoko currently lead the table having accumulated 33 points from their first 14 games.

With a game in hand, the Porcupine Warriors have established a 7 point gap over their closest contender, Bechem United.
