Former Black Stars defender and Deputy General Secretary of CAF, Tony Baafoe has paid a glowing tribute to Cheikh Tiote three years after his demise.

Tiote passed on after collapsing at training in China with Beijing Enterprise Group on June 5, 2020

Tony Baafoe took to his twitter account to remember the former Ivorian international.

Tiote spent six seasons playing for Newcastle United in the Premier League and had stint with the Ivorian National Team at the AFCON which they won in 2015 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
