Thomas Tuchel full Pre-Manchester United press conference

Thomas Tuchel on Ralf Rangnick:

“Let’s respect everybody, Ralf, the Club’s decision, then when things are done maybe we can talk about it.”
Thomas Tuchel on Ralf Rangnick:

“He helped me a lot because he was my coach, then one of the main figures to try coaching. He had a huge influence. He showed us it’s not necessary to follow people to the toilet in games.”
Thomas Tuchel on Ruben Loftus-Cheek:

“I didn’t say it because I was not happy. I will always repeat it even now because I see the potential, he knows it. The next step is for him to show his potential. Everybody in the stadium must go home and see how strong Ruben is.”
Thomas Tuchel on Ruben Loftus-Cheek:

“He deserves to play. He competes in one of the toughest competitions for minutes. I’m still happy with Ruben. We can expect [top performances] from him and will stay demanding of him because of his potential.”
Thomas Tuchel on Ben Chilwell blow:

“There’s never a good moment for big injuries and injuries in general. This is a bad moment for him personally, he was full of confidence. He’s been a huge part, it’s a shame, we are very sad. At the moment he is very positive…”
Thomas Tuchel on Ben Chilwell blow:

“After a while, you have to refocus and focus on the positives, that’s the next week. We will do everything possible so he can come back and help us again, strong.”
Thomas Tuchel on Manchester United:

“I was, I still am [expecting more from them]. I will never write anybody off because it is a big club, a very experienced and top-level group of players, this is still the case. Part of the performance from us is to not let them perform.”
Thomas Tuchel:

“We feel very competitive, we feel we have a good mix of discipline, structure, freedom, sharpness, and grip in performances.”
Thomas Tuchel on Romelu Lukaku: “The possibility he starts is not very high because we can’t be sure what happens in the match and we have to find the balance to giving minutes and being competitive for 90 minutes.”
Thomas Tuchel:

“But there is still a long way to go. Man City and Liverpool showed us the consistency on the highest and we have to prove…”

Thomas Tuchel:

“It’s still a marathon, that’s not finished. we started this race as the hunters. Before the race is finished, we will be the hunters. If we can stay the whole race in the top that is competing for the win, this is what we want, dream, and are determined for.”
Thomas Tuchel:

“This is very impressive and nice to see. This makes it special for me and my supporters. It is a fantastic mix between homegrown talent and young boys who have the future in front of them, who have not reached their highest level. This makes it very exciting.”

Thomas Tuchel on Academy:

“Surprised [how good they are]? I don’t know, but we saw it very quickly that we have some very good kids here. What makes me the happiest is how much they care about the club, shirt, and career here.”
Thomas Tuchel:

“We want to play every instrument because I have the feeling in modern football that there are so many demands. There are so many different characters of opponents that you have to adapt. We need to have answers, different styles, solutions…”

Thomas Tuchel on imagining impressive #Chelsea start after 50 games:

“It did not feel like 50, time went by so, so quickly but it has been a fantastic journey so far. I hope I can add more packages of 50.”
Thomas Tuchel on imagining impressive #Chelsea start after 50 games:

“No, but maybe that was a good thing so we don’t get carried away. You can easily get carried away, or hold yourself down… it was very difficult to imagine it like this due to the quick decision.”

Thomas Tuchel on good time to face Manchester United:

“We have one game on Michael Carrick to analyse. We are up for the big challenges, we want to be out there on the highest level to prove ourselves. This is the next one.”
