The Father of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has disclosed that his son has held talks with Arsenal over a move to the English Premier League.

The Ghanaian midfielder has been on the back of every news paper leading to the summer transfer window.

His perfomances for Atletico Madrid has helped him establish himself as a mainstay in the Spanish side’s setup.

With the summer transfer window looming, some of Europe’s top sides have identified Thomas as the ideal candidate to bring some sort of stability in their midfield.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the Ghanaian over the past few weeks with some media reports suggesting that the Premier league club have tabled an offer for the services of the Black Stars player.

Speaking to Adeiso-based radio station Tru FM, Partey’s Father said,
I called my son after hearing the rumours and he told me that the rumours are true.

“He told me they are holding talks between him and Arsenal. It all depends on the offer Atletico are demanding.

“If he goes to Arsenal fine, they have a lot supporters in Ghana. I will be happy if he decides to move to Arsenal.
