Arsenal star Thomas Partey has overcome his latest injury setback after returning to colney traning on Friday

But Partey returned to training with his teammates on Friday and the midfielder has an eye on potentially making the squad for their trip to Newcastle.

This will come as particularly good news for coach Mikel Arteta, off the back of a promising couple of weeks in Arsenal’s season.

Despite this latest development, the midfielder won’t be travelling for the trip to West Brom tomorrow.

The match against Newcastle on January 9th is seen as a realistic return date for the player.
