The ‘Team Spirit Is Good We Are Ready’ For Kotoko – Awako Hints

Hearts of Oak midfielder Gladson Awako says his side are ready for the crucial super clash game against Kotoko on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak will trip to Kumasi to face arch rivals Kotoko in the second round of the Super clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The first round of the Super Clash ended goalless at Accra Sports Stadium but Hearts of Oak had better hands off Kotoko in the President Cup which ended 2-1 in favour of the Phobians.

The former Olympics player is of the belief that the game will be tough and much improvement is needed from his side.

In an interview with StarTimes, Awako said:

“We all know this game between Hearts and Kotoko, you know it’s not just about playing but you need to psyche yourself well.

“And as a team I believe we are ready and the team spirit too is good.

“Training, the games we’ve been playing, we keep improving game after game so I believe it’s going to be a good game in Kumasi.”

Hearts of Oak lie 4th on the 2021/22 league table with 36 points, trailing Kotoko by 13 points after week 23 game as the Porcupine Warriors are sitting on top of the table with 49 points.
